10 Fort Worth Restaurants and Bars Opening in 2024
With Fort Worth seemingly on a never ending trajectory of growth, we’re unbelievably excited for the expansion of our food and beverage scene that that growth brings. Just within the first month of 2024, we already have great news of new concepts, revitalization projects, and even expansion plans. Check out 10 new Fort Worth openings we’re excited for:
Enchiladas Ole Camp Bowie - Open Now
Earlier this month, Enchiladas Ole opened its doors for their new Camp Bowie location. Founded by Mary Perez, Enchiladas Ole has been a local favorite for years, featuring a great selection of house-made enchiladas, refreshing margaritas, and other tex-mex favorites. This new location was the old Wild Acre tap room and now promises to bring the same warm atmosphere, friendly service, and irresistible dishes that have made Enchiladas Ole a staple in the Fort Worth community.
Oak and Eden Clearfork - Open Now
Oak & Eden's Fort Worth tasting room is a whiskey haven in a charming, sophisticated space. The knowledgeable staff guides you through their handcrafted spirits as you sample and select your favorite. The tasting room is open for cocktails and their bottling experience that walks you through the whiskey production, a tasting and selection of flavors, and your own creation of a bottle of Oak & Eden whiskey. Check out reservations for their bottling experience on Tock.
Ko Thai - “Early” 2024
Ko Thai is going to be a new culinary gem for Near Southside. Their launch announcement promises and elevated Thai cuisine crafted by expert chefs, blending authentic flavors with modern twists. The new space is located next door to BREWED and recently opened Walloon’s and promises a captivating ambiance and great service. In a recent CultureMap Fort Worth article, Founder and 10+ year restaurant vetran Nick Thana Porn-In said, “We understand the Texas taste, so we want to improve the experience for more people in this city."
Ribbee’s - March 2024
Ribbee’s is the brainchild of Jonny White, Lane Milne, and Jalen Heard, three of the founders of Texas Monthly’s Number 1 rated Goldee’s BBQ. The soon-to-be BBQ spot focused on… (you guessed it!) ribs. According to a Dallas Morning News article, the new concept will boast five varieties of ribs and based on our experience and everyone’s well-deserved obsession with Goldee’s, we have high expectations and hopes for this concept. To give you a feel for the vibe you can expect - the location was originally a Sonic and based on preliminary pictures, we think they’ll perfectly capture the old school essence while serving up a new-age vision for what Texas BBQ can be.
Margie’s Italian - March 2024
Margie’s Italian has been a beloved Westland, TX culinary landmark since 1953 and last year announced it’ll be passing along operations and ownership over to Gigi Howell and Bourke Harvey of Westland Restaurant Group. You may know Gigi and Bourke and their fast-growing hospitality group by their huge splash on the scene with JD’s Hamburgers. In a recent Fort Worth Report article, Operating partner Gigi shared that they “have deep roots in this community and a strong commitment to preserving the spirit of Margie’s, which has always been about great food, warm hospitality, and a sense of belonging.”
Pulido’s Mexican Restaurant - March 2024
Westland Restaurant Group Acquires Pulido's to Preserve Timeless Legacy
In more Westland Restaurant Group news - the team has recently acquired iconic Fort Worth based Pulido’s Mexican Restaurant. Pulido’s has been a beloved institution across their multiple Fort Worth locations. According to Fort Worth Magazine’s recent article, the plan is to reopen all five Pulido’s locations, starting with the original on Vickery, near Railhead Smokehouse and Flying Fish. As someone already missing the presence of recently closed The Original on Camp Bowie, we couldn’t be more thrilled to have the Vickery location reopening soon and to see Westland Restaurant Group continue to invest in long-time Fort Worth stapes.
Bouvier Brasserie and The Annex at Le Meridian - April 2024
Opening in Fort Worth’s soon-to-be Le Meridien, Bouvier Brasserie and The Annex seek to offer delightful dining experiences in downtown. At Bouvier Brasserie, they’ll be focusing on modern twists on classic French dishes crafted with locally sourced ingredients, all within a chic and inviting atmosphere. Meanwhile, The Annex will provide a more casual, yet sophisticated setting for indulging in crafted cocktails and shared plates.
Fuel Stop 80 - Summer 2024
If you’re sensing a trend in Westland’s evolving hospitality scene, you’re not alone. Yet another announcement from Westland Restaurant Group promises us yet another revitalization project with Fuel Stop 80. Going into an abandoned gas station along Highway 80, the new concept will have a full bar, patio, and let guests order food from both JD’s Hamburgers and Margie’s Italian, two other Westland Restaurant Group concepts in the neighborhood.
Cowboy Prime Stockyards - Fall 2024
Felipe Armenta and Graham Elliot, the masterminds behind FAR Out Hospitality, are poised to bring their steakhouse concept to the Fort Worth Stockyards. Building on their successful concept in Midland, Cowboy Prime will be a new high end culinary experience and steakhouse for the Stockyards. Duro Hospitality’s Unnamed, Upscale Concept - Winter 2024
While there isn’t much information out there on what fine dining powerhouse Duro Hospitality has planned for their first Fort Worth concept, we do know a few things. The first is that if this is anything like Duro’s other concepts like Sister, Mister Charles, and El Carlos Elegante (just to name a few), we’re in for a treat. The second is that they will be calling Fort Worth’s recent opening, The Crescent, home. More info to come soon at Duro’s Hospitality’s website.
