TCU Football Announces $3 Buck Blitz: $3 Beers & Bites Before Kickoff

TCU Football’s new “$3 Buck Blitz” gives fans $3 beer, hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, peanuts, and 44oz souvenir sodas from the time gates open until 30 minutes before kickoff at all home games.

Fort Worth—This is not a drill. TCU just rolled out a new promotion called The “$3 Buck Blitz” for home games at Amon G. Carter—perfect for fueling up without blowing your budget. From the moment gates open until 30 minutes before kickoff, a handful of classic stadium bites (and yes, beer) will be sold for only $3 each.

As a TCU alumni, I’m all to familiar with TCU fans running fashionably late to games — zipping in just minutes before kickoff, or in some cases, lingering at tailgates until right after kickoff. This deal might shift the tides to early arrivals being the norm. In our opinion, the $3 beers will be the biggest driver.

What’s on The $3 Buck Blitz Menu

  • Beer

  • Hot dogs

  • Nachos

  • Popcorn

  • Peanuts

  • 44oz souvenir soda

Items are $3 from gates open until 30 minutes before kickoff of TCU home games this season.

How to Make the Most of $3 Buck Blitz

  • Arrive early and head in The Carter early. The window closes 30 minutes before kickoff—plan arrival around the deal.

  • Order in one swoop. Our recommendation is to target the bees and grab multiple hot dogs and peanuts so you can maximize your haul and avoid heading back to the line again.

  • Set your meet-up spot. If you’re rolling in with a crew, pick a section to regroup after grabbing your snacks.

Pro Tips

  • Bring your ID for beer—no exceptions.

  • Bring a koozie to keep your extra beer cold.

  • Lines move quickest just after gates open.

2025 TCU Home Games

Sept 13 — Abilene Christian — 7:00 p.m. CT

Home opener + Family Weekend means big purple turnout and lots of first-game energy. Great chance to use the $3 Buck Blitz window when gates open.

Sept 20 — SMU — Time TBD

The Iron Skillet rivalry returns to the Carter—expect packed patios before and a loud, standing-room vibe inside. Bragging rights game that always feels bigger than a typical non-conference Saturday. Unfortunately, this is the last Iron Skillet game for the foreseeable future. Check out our NOT DALLAS merch for this game: NOT DALLAS GAME DAYHATS AND SHIRTS

Oct 4 — Colorado — Time TBD

Big 12 home opener and a national-eyeballs matchup; tailgates and student sections usually spike for this one. Feels like an early checkpoint for conference hopes. All eyes are on Deion this year to see how he rebuilts after losing several key players.

Oct 18 — Baylor — Time TBD

THE REVIVALRY. In-state rival with deep history—one of the loudest atmospheres of the year. Plan for heavier crowds all day and a charged fourth quarter.

Nov 8 — Iowa State — Time TBD

Cooler weather, great patio-and-football day. Often a sneaky-important game in the Big 12 standings.

Nov 29 — Cincinnati — Time TBD

Thanksgiving-week closer with Senior Day vibes—families, alumni, and lots of photos on the concourse. Ideal game to arrive early and soak in the last home atmosphere of the season.
