Maple Branch has quickly become one of our favorite spots to enjoy a cold beer in Fort Worth. Their outdoor space makes you feel right at home. It features a large fountain, a handful of Maple trees, several large tables, shaded seating, and more. Additionally, they are constantly brewing up new beers to rotate in with their heavy hitters like the Raspberry Fields Blonde Ale, Czech Ya Later Czech Pilsner, Monkey Business Hefewizen, and more. It’s perfect for catching up with friends or meeting new people, all while soaking up that Fort Worth charm.

For a quirky and fun vibe, Bearded Lady is the place to be. It’s hard to believe that they could top their old location over on Magnolia, but they nailed it with their “new” space on South Main (they moved a couple years ago). This spot’s patio is always buzzing with energy, making it the perfect place to grab a cold one after work or on the weekend. The expansive space features picnic tables, string lights, and, of course, an impressive selection of beers, from local brews to international favorites. It’s a great spot to grab a bite (their burgers are bomb) and hang out with friends as South Main foot traffic buzzes by you.

Crystal Springs Hideaway is a newcomer to the Fort Worth Patio scene, opening just a few months ago. Though it’s new, Crystal Springs has tons of history and is built in an old house just off of White Settlement in the River District area. This spot offers a secluded and relaxed patio, surrounded by greenery and the charm of old Fort Worth. It's perfect for sipping on a cold beer while catching up with friends over some live music. The cozy setting and local beer selection make it a true neighborhood favorite, even just after a few months of being open.

If you’re dedicated enough, they’re renown for their UFO Club, where if you try all 200 of their beers on tap, you get your name mounted on a plate and added to the wall - count us in!

Saddlerock Beer & Wine was one of Fort Worth’s most anticipated openings for 2024. Located in a historic home just East of downtown along the Trinity River, their backyard space is absolutely prime for sipping a cold beer. They have a nice selection of beers and wine and are BOYF (bring your own food) - making it perfect for a picnic type moment. The laid-back vibe and chic setting make it a great spot for casual drinks or an afternoon hangout. This is one of Fort Worth’s most underrated patios and deserves more recognition for what it is - a great spot to sip on a beer (or glass of wine). Check out their fun events - they’re listed on their Tock page and often host movie nights, paint and sips, and other fun experiences in the backyard area!

With a great selection of local craft beers and a fun atmosphere, it’s an ideal spot to sip and socialize. You may be in the 7th street area, but the patio is a little escape from Fort Worth where you can spend hours. The vibe has been a long time favorite among Fort Worth locals, and the food will definitely have you coming back for more. Pro tip: Try the Cheese Fries Surpise as a starter. And grab a Fainting Goat beer/cocktail (if you think you can handle it!).

Birdie’s has quickly become a fan favorite for sipping cold beer or cocktails. With their expansive outdoor patio and picnic bench seating, it’s rare they don’e have live music or some sort of game on the big screen to keep you entertained. The country club-centric decor and delicious drinks make it a perfect place to spend a sunny afternoon or a breezy evening.

Heim could easily be attributed to helping usher in the craft barbecue scene into Fort Worth. They’re primarily known for their Magnolia location, which has a decent side patio, but their River District location along White Settlement has a killer outdoor patio that they just completely revamped and opened a couple weeks ago. I't’s the perfect spot to slam some barbecue over a great beer. For some of the best smoked meats in the city, Heim River District is a go-to. When you pair killer TX barbecue with a cold beer on lovely patio, and you’ve got the perfect combo. The riverside location adds to the charm, making it a prime spot to kick back with friends and enjoy the outdoors.

Terry Black’s came in HOT to Fort Worth. Located just off 7th street, they put a nice sum of cash into the build out of this new outpost. Luckily for us, they put good money into a great patio space. For being in the heart of Fort Worth, they offer a killer patio for those looking to pair their Texas barbecue with a cold beer. We also recommend giving their Frozen Black and Coke, featuring Blackland Distillery’s Texas Pecan Brown Sugar Bourbon for a refreshing treat on a hot day.

Though primarily known for its burgers, JD’s Hamburgers also boasts a fantastic patio where you can enjoy a great beer with your meal. They’ve nailed down an exclusive beer brewed by Fort Worth’s own Martin House Brewing called the Westland Rattler. The large patio is a perfect chill atmosphere with absolutely killer burgers, which make it a spot you’ll want to come back to again and again.

Woodshed is a long time favorite for Fort Worth locals and incoming TCU students. We recently featured it in our Best Patio’s article and it' had to make another appearance for this list. It’s become a part of the TCU and local Fort Worth culture and a staple known for it’s great beer selection and fan-favorite food. Tucked along the Trinity River and just down the street from TCU, Woodshed brings a little something special to Fort Worth’s patio scene. This spot offers an amazing view, top-notch barbecue, and an expansive outdoor seating area (usually featuring live music) that’s perfect for sipping a cold snack. The laid-back vibes and scenic setting make it an ideal place to spend a relaxing afternoon or evening. We also recommend giving their frozen marg a try if you’re tapped out on beers.
