Fort Worth’s Newest Restaurants: Now Open and Opening Soon

[UPDATED APRIL 1st, 2026]

Fort Worth’s dining scene continues to expand across multiple neighborhoods, with several concepts opening in recent weeks and more set to debut before the end of March. From South Main to downtown and the Cultural District, this latest wave reflects steady momentum across the city.

Here’s what just opened and what’s about to:

Felina

Felina (Now Open)

Felina has officially opened and brings a new Italian concept from the brothers behind Bocca Osteria. The ownership pedigree alone makes this one notable, as Bocca has long been part of Fort Worth’s established Italian dining scene. Felina enters the market at a time when chef-driven, reservation-oriented restaurants continue to gain traction across the city.

While still in its early days, early buzz and positioning suggest Felina is aiming for a polished dinner experience rather than a casual neighborhood format. Its arrival adds further strength to Fort Worth’s growing Italian presence.

Southside Cellar 5

Southside Cellar has launched its full food program, introducing a dedicated walk-up ordering window alongside its existing beer and wine focus. The new menu includes appetizers, hoagies, and pizza, marking a clear expansion from beverage-first to a more complete dining stop.

The addition is significant for South Main. As the corridor continues evolving into a stronger dining destination, Southside Cellar’s shift reinforces the neighborhood’s move toward full-service food offerings rather than bar-only traffic.

Katei has quietly opened at 570 Throckmorton Street in downtown Fort Worth. Presented by Azteca Concepts, the intimate counter experience features a 20-course omakase tasting guided by seasonality and precision.

There aren’t many details on the new concept other than those presented on their Instagram and Resy pages, but from we do know, the concept blends Japanese technique with local Texas and Mexican ingredients, alongside fish imported from around the world. Katei introduces one of the more ambitious fine dining additions to downtown this year.

This concept also marks the second omakase-first concept in Fort Worth – the other being Yoichi). We’re likely to be hit with a similar omakase wave that other major cities have experienced over the past 5-10 years.

Maraki Header

Meraki is set to open March 17 adjacent to Courtside Pickleball, marking Tim Love’s latest restaurant project in Fort Worth. The new concept blends Mediterranean cooking with Texan influence, focusing on fresh ingredients and shareable plates. Expect mezze to start, seafood-driven mains, and a meats like lamb and grilled shortrib that blends Mediterranean flavors with Texas-style. They will also offer three- and six-course tasting menus.

With continued development along University Drive and steady investment around Westbend and University Park Village, Meraki enters one of Fort Worth’s most active growth corridors.

Seared

Seared is set to open in the former Pearl Snap building off White Settlement. The concept centers on steak frites, offering a streamlined and focused menu built around a single core idea rather than a broad steakhouse approach.

Its location near the West 7th corridor places it in a high-visibility area that has traditionally leaned bar-forward. A focused dinner concept like Seared could provide a more execution-driven alternative within that zone.

Cafe Mirador

Café Mirador, sister concept to Dallas’ well known restaurant and afternoon tea hotspot, Mirador, is preparing to open in the Cultural District, adding further momentum to a neighborhood that continues to expand beyond museum traffic into destination dining. The area has steadily built a reputation for structured, reservation-driven restaurants, and Café Mirador fits that model.

With reservation inventory already visible ahead of its debut, the rollout suggests a confident and organized launch strategy. We expect people to swoon over their brunch and for it to become a go-to afternoon tea hotspot.

Stewarts Croquet Cocktail Club 10

Stewart’s Croquet opened last year but has recently transitioned to accepting reservations. Guests can now book tables in advance as well as reserve the karaoke room, adding predictability to a space that previously operated primarily on a walk-in basis.

The shift reflects steady demand and a move toward a more structured guest experience.

The Momentum Continues

What stands out about this latest round of openings is the geographic range. South Main continues to add dining density. Downtown gains an intimate omakase counter. The Cultural District strengthens its brunch and afternoon tea lineup. University Drive remains active with new development and updates.

Each of these openings are exciting in their own right, but they also reflect continued, steady investment in the food and beverage scene across all of Fort Worth.

We’ll continue updating this article and our guide as these spots open and additional reservation platforms go live.
