Hot Dogs El Buda at 1150 E. Seminary Drive is one of Fort Worth's most exciting food pop-ups — a Friday-nights-only, sell-out-every-week Sonoran-style hot dog operation from Luis, a Fort Worth native who set out to do something no one else was doing on the East Side. The dogs are bacon-wrapped franks on large, soft buns, built in the Mexican dogo tradition and then pushed further: hot melted cheese poured on, Hot Cheetos dust, grilled jalapenos, pico de gallo, mustard, and mayo. A roasted chili pepper comes on the side. Watching Luis and his crew work the commercial-grade grills is half the experience. Fort Worth Magazine named it Best Hot Dog in 2025 and Fort Worth Weekly agreed. The crowd shows up Fridays at 7pm until sellout — get there early. Follow @hotdogselbuda for updates.
