Pop-Pop Feducchi's Italian Ice and Ice Cream at 4621 Camp Bowie Boulevard is a husband-and-wife food trailer from Doug Cappleman and Kristine Tonkin, parked next to River Crest Gas on the west side and open Friday through Sunday evenings from 5 to 10pm. Tonkin grew up in Philadelphia where Italian ice, or water ice, is practically the city's official dessert, and she brought the real version to Fort Worth: three ingredients only, fruit, sugar, and water, with no syrups or shortcuts. Flavors range from classic cherry and watermelon to Mangonada Magic and seasonal specials. The Philadelphia-style ice cream side of the menu skips the egg-enriched French style for a cleaner, meltier result, with craft-inspired flavors like banana pudding, Checkmate chess pie, pandan, and Orange Cloud Cream. Named for Tonkin's Italian grandfather, who nicknamed all his grandchildren Feducchi. Open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 5 to 10pm.
