The Best Date Night Restaurants in Fort Worth Right Now
Fort Worth date-night restaurants worth returning to, from intimate Italian rooms and sushi counters to river views, polished neighborhood dining, and four drink-focused bonus stops.

[UPDATED JULY, 2026]
Fort Worth doesn’t always get credit for its wing scene. Between the late-night East Side spots, the South Fort Worth operations with cult followings, and a Near Southside cocktail bar that lands on North America’s 50 Best Bars lists, the city is doing more than most people realize.
These are the wing spots worth knowing about right now:
Gabe’s has built one of the more loyal wing followings in Fort Worth, and it’s done it almost entirely through word of mouth and social media. Two locations, evening-only hours, and a focused menu of wings, tenders, sandwiches, and loaded fries. The wings come in combos of up to two flavors per order and the Spicy Korean is the one people keep coming back for. The Magnolia location runs until 2AM on Friday and Saturday, which makes it one of the better late-night wing options on the Near Southside. Order ahead if you can.
Wing Style: Classic / Korean-Inspired
Buffalo Bros has been one of Fort Worth’s most reliable wing spots for years, with two locations in Fort Worth that consistently deliver on quality and value. The wing menu covers classic buffalo, BBQ, lemon pepper, and a rotating lineup of specialty flavors, with a craft beer selection that makes the whole experience feel like a proper sit-down rather than a quick takeout stop. The Sundance Square location puts you right in the heart of downtown, and the TCU location is great for students and folks that don’t want to head downtown. A solid go-to for wings and a cold beer any day of the week.
Wing Style: Classic / Buffalo
Nickel City is primarily one of the most awarded bars in North America, landing on the 50 Best Bars lists in both 2025 and 2026. The wings from their Delray Cafe program inside are the reason it makes this list. Crispy, classic build, perfectly executed, served while you work through a boilermaker or one of the best cocktails in the city. The 1925 building on South Main is the right room for it. Simple, well-made, and the bar makes everything taste better. If you’re okay with getting boneless wings, their saucy tenders hit the spot as well. Note: 21+ only.
Wing Style: Classic Bar Wings
What started as Straight From the Kitchen, a local favorite on the west side of Fort Worth, has grown into a dedicated fast-casual operation on Sycamore School Road. The concept is straightforward: farm-raised catfish and hormone and antibiotic-free chicken, cooked to order, served with the signature OOOWWWEEE Sauce. The wings are crispy, well-seasoned, and come in a range of flavors. The Chicken and Waffle is the second most-ordered item and worth knowing about. Open Tuesday through Saturday.
Wing Style: Southern Fried / Signature Sauce
A 4.9 on Google with nearly 80 reviews is hard to argue with, and 2020 Wings on East Lancaster earns every bit of it. The East Fort Worth operation serves fresh-made wings in a range of flavors including mango habanero, honey BBQ, lemon pepper, garlic parmesan, and Louisiana buffalo, alongside seasoned fries that reviewers consistently call out as some of the best in the city. The owners are friendly, the food is consistently fresh, and the homemade cheesecake is a bonus worth knowing about. Takeout only, no dine-in.
Wing Style: Classic / Southern Style
These aren’t wing restaurants. But if you’re already there, ordering the wings is the right call.
Wishbone & Flynt is a globally inspired small plates restaurant on Bryan Ave, featured on USA Network’s “Everything on the Menu with Braun Strowman” and one of the more creative neighborhood spots in Fort Worth. The PB&J Wings, marinated in Thai peanut sauce and served with blackberry coulis at $17, are the dish that keeps showing up in reviews. Sweet, savory, and completely unlike anything else on a Fort Worth wing list. Order them as a shareable alongside a cocktail and you’ll understand why they’re a signature.
Family-owned, nominated twice for Best Burger in Fort Worth, and quietly serving one of the better casual wing options in the Near Southside. The wings run in 6, 10, and 20-piece meals starting at $9.99, with buffalo hot wings getting specific callouts in reviews alongside the charbroiled burgers. A solid neighborhood stop when you want wings and a burger without overthinking it. Open Monday through Saturday until 11PM.
Not local concepts, but both have Fort Worth locations worth knowing about if you’re specifically chasing wings.
New York-born and expanding fast (24 locations nationwide with plans to nearly double in 2026), Atomic Wings landed in Fort Worth on the Near Southside with a solid product. Fresh never-frozen, hormone-free wings brined for 24 hours before frying, 14 sauce options, and open daily from 10AM. One of the cleaner wing operations in the city in terms of ingredient quality. Locally franchised, consistently well-reviewed.
