The Best Date Night Restaurants in Fort Worth Right Now
Fort Worth date-night restaurants worth returning to, from intimate Italian rooms and sushi counters to river views, polished neighborhood dining, and four drink-focused bonus stops.

[UPDATED AUGUST 2026]
College football season is back, and Fort Worth has no shortage of places to watch it, especially when TCU is on. Whether you want a dedicated sports bar packed with Horned Frog fans, a brewery patio with the game playing in the background, or something in between, these are the best spots to catch a game right now.
Buffalo Bros is a Fort Worth game-day standby. Both locations have multiple screens, wings and pizza built for sharing, and crowds that show up week after week. Sundance Square puts you downtown; the TCU location sits in the middle of Horned Frog country and fills quickly on game days. Both locations confirmed they plan to show college football throughout the season.
Rex’s is built for game day. TVs surround the dining room, and the covered patio adds large screens plus a separate stage for live music. Its University Drive location makes it a natural TCU stop, and the shaded outdoor setup is especially useful during the first hot weeks of the season.
Little Woodrow’s is built around game days, with 30–50 TVs, yard games, hammock chairs, and a large dog-friendly patio. Guests under 21 are welcome before 7 p.m. with a parent or guardian; the venue becomes 21+ after 7 p.m. Happy hour runs Monday through Friday.
Rogers Roundhouse pairs outdoor screens, picnic tables, and yard games with a working railyard backdrop—a distinctly Fort Worth setting for game day. The atmosphere stays laid-back, the food is approachable, and Friday-night live music can carry the day beyond the final whistle. Dog-friendly, with free on-site parking.
Rusty Nickel pairs its outdoor beer garden and game-day screens with rotating food options, live music, markets, and other neighborhood events. It works when you want to follow the game without settling into a packed sports bar. Check the calendar for that day’s food, music, and admission details.
Birdie’s has a sprawling outdoor setup with multiple covered patios, big screens, yard games, and live entertainment. It handles large groups easily, making it a practical choice when the watch party outgrows the living room. Everyone is welcome during regular hours; individual events may set their own age policies.
Maple Branch gives you a brewery version of game day: more than 20 small-batch beers brewed on-site, a gravel patio with yard games, screens, and wood-fired pizza. It’s family- and dog-friendly, so it works well for mixed groups spending a Saturday afternoon outside.
Drinks N’ Such is the newest addition to the Fort Worth sports bar scene, from the team behind Rusty Nickel and Reservoir, in the former Carter’s Coffee space near TCU. The food-hall-inspired menu with multiple culinary concepts under one roof pairs with a sports bar setup built for game day. Right in the TCU corridor, which makes it a natural college football destination.
Morton’s opened in 2025 as a sports tavern designed around watching the game. Owners Jimmy and Monika Morton built a dark, relaxed room with more than 20 screens—including 100-inch TVs—16 beers on tap, a large dog-friendly patio, and JesCrave serving food on-site. Weekend hours currently begin at 11 a.m.
Fort Worth has the spots to make college football season worth staying in for. Whether you’re watching TCU, the Longhorns, or whoever happens to be on at noon, these nine are the ones to build your Saturdays around.
